Here's one for everyone who thinks that Kerry is going to win in a walk: a map of how the polls are doing, state by state.

Remember 2000? Remember how 'Majority Vote' Gore lost it? Yeah, they never got around to fixing that system any more than ours is getting fixed. Note how even though Kerry has the most populous states, Bush has more actual states and, therefore, more electoral collage votes.

You heard it here from a cynical bystander: Bush is going to win in 2004, damn his heart full of dogshit.

I know that I haven't posted to my blog much in the last while, and not at all for close to a a month. The reason is that my recent move disrupted my ability to monitor and comment on the state of the world in real time and, frankly, I found that I liked it. I need the time to get a few things straight for myself, so don't expect a lot here, though I will post things that are important.

That said, this article says it all.

Do you know someone who needs hours alone every day? Who loves quiet conversations about feelings or ideas, and can give a dynamite presentation to a big audience, but seems awkward in groups and maladroit at small talk? Who has to be dragged to parties and then needs the rest of the day to recuperate? Who growls or scowls or grunts or winces when accosted with pleasantries by people who are just trying to be nice?

If so, do you tell this person he is "too serious," or ask if he is okay? Regard him as aloof, arrogant, rude? Redouble your efforts to draw him out?

If you answered yes to these questions, chances are that you have an introvert on your hands—and that you aren't caring for him properly.
